Logan's POV
Sarah emerges from the building an hour later, security escorting her with a cardboard box clutched to her chest. Her face is blotchy, eyes red from crying.
I watch from my office window as she loads her things into her car. Part of me—the human part—feels a flicker of guilt. Three years of her life, gone in one afternoon.
But my wolf has no regrets. She threatened mate. She deserved worse.
Sarah pauses before getting into her car, pulling out her phone. Through the window, I see her expression twist with bitter satisfaction.
