7. Touching myself one last time, but life took a turn

Chapter 7 Layla’s POV “What!!!!!” “Mom… I got the job! After so many months!” I squealed, shoving the phone screen right in front of her face. My hands were shaking so badly I almost dropped it. The email glowed on the display, bold letters screaming the exact news I’d been praying for. Congratulations, Miss Layla. We are pleased to offer you the position of the Secretary. Due to an urgent corporate need, your start date is today at 12:00 PM sharp. Please report directly to the main office. Mom snatched the phone from my hands, reading the lines twice like she couldn't believe it either. Then, she pulled me into another crushing hug, laughing and crying at the exact same time. “My baby! Oh, thank God! After all those rejections… this is finally it!” I hugged her back tightly, burying my face in her shoulder. Today. I had maybe two hours to get my entire life together and walk into a fancy corporate building where I'd actually be working. “I have to go get ready,” I said, pulling back with a shaky smile. “They want me there by noon.” “Go, go! I’ll whip up something quick for you to eat before you leave,” Mom said, already rushing toward the kitchen before she stopped suddenly, as if she just remembered something. “Oh, and…” Her voice dropped a little lower. “The dinner with him yesterday had to be canceled. He texted saying he wouldn't be able to make it anymore.” She stood there, blinking at me. *Him?* I thought to myself, trying to process it through my frantic workspace excitement. “My fiancé,” she added, as if she could read my mind. “Oh— right! Sorry, Mom. I just remembered. What happened?” I asked. Mom was finally remarrying eleven years after my dad walked out on us, and I couldn’t be happier for her. She had told me we were supposed to do the official family introductions right here at the house, especially since I'd heard the man also had a son around my age. “Nothing major, just a scheduling conflict. Just make sure you come home early from work today so you can finally meet him.” “No problem, Mom. I’ll be home early, I promise!” I called over my shoulder as I hurried down the hall to my bedroom. The second the door clicked shut behind me, the excitement of the job mixed with something much heavier. I leaned against the wood for a second, breathing deeply to calm my racing heart. Then, I started peeling off my clothes, the same damp dress from last night that still carried the faint, intoxicating trace of that expensive hotel cologne. My bra and panties hit the floor next, until I was standing completely naked in front of the full-length mirror attached to my closet door. My reflection stared right back at me: the soft belly, the full, heavy breasts resting against it, wide hips, thick thighs, and those chubby cheeks Wyatt despised. He has not called me since yesterday, what a jerk! I turned slightly, watching the way my body moved, the natural jiggle of my ass and the heavy sway of my t**s. *God, he touched all of this.* The memory hit me like a violent wave. His deep, gravelly voice groaning against my skin, calling me perfect, while those large, rough hands squeezed my hips like he couldn’t get enough of the size of me. The way his thick fingers had dug into the softness of my waist, dragging me flush against his clothes. How he’d sucked on my n*****s like he was starving, spit running down my t**s while he looked at my body like I was the most delicious thing he'd ever seen. My breath hitched. A sudden, scorching heat flooded between my legs so fast it made my knees physically weak. I watched my own hand slide down my belly, tracing over the soft curve until my fingers brushed against my bare p***y. I was already soaking wet again. “f**k…” I whispered, biting my lower lip as I spread my legs a little wider. In the mirror, I watched my own n*****s tighten, my cheeks flushing a deep scarlet. I began circling my c**t slowly at first, closing my eyes and remembering how those thick fingers had stretched me open, how his tongue had relentlessly licked and sucked until I was a screaming mess. *“You’re so f*****g beautiful,”* he’d said, his voice rough, dominant, and entirely real. My fingers moved faster, dipping deep into my own slick folds, pumping in and out while my other hand came up to squeeze one heavy tit, rolling the swollen peak just like he had. The wet, messy sounds filled my small room, filthy, loud, and completely desperate. My hips started rocking against my hand, my thighs trembling uncontrollably. That man… those strong arms, that salt-and-pepper hair I had tangled my fingers in while he ate my p***y… “Oh s**t— yes…” I moaned under my breath, my eyes locked onto my own reflection as my body began to shake. I shouldn’t be doing this. I never knew I could be this dirty for an older man. Was something wrong with me? The orgasm crashed over me hard and fast, my p***y clenching violently around my fingers as my own juices dripped down my thighs. I had to slap a hand over my mouth to muffle the sound, terrified Mom would hear what a bad girl her daughter was in her room. I stood there panting for a moment, my legs completely jelly, staring at my flushed, thoroughly satisfied body in the glass. A small, dazed smile tugged at my lips. Yes. This is the last time I’ll do this. Then reality slapped me right in the face. “s**t, the time!” I rushed into the bathroom and threw myself into the shower, scrubbing off the slick mess and trying to push the memories down so I could actually focus on my future. I threw on fresh clothes—a deliberate attempt at looking professional. I chose a blouse that hugged my curves and a skirt that highlighted my hips instead of hiding them under a baggy sweater like I usually did. I slapped on some simple makeup, grabbed my bag, and ran out. “Mom, I’m leaving! I’ll be back early for dinner, I swear!” I yelled, kissing her cheek on my way out the door without eating. The MK Group corporate headquarters looked like it was built out of pure money. Towering glass and steel reached straight up into the sky, the kind of intimidating place that made you feel microscopic the second you walked through the revolving doors. My heart hammered against my ribs as the elegant receptionist checked my name on her tablet and gave me a polite smile. “Straight to the top floor, Miss Layla. The CEO is expecting you. The elevators are right on your left.” *The CEO?* I thought, my throat going dry. I figured they’d start me off with a hiring manager or someone lower on the totem pole. My hands felt incredibly clammy as I rode the private elevator up, smoothing my skirt over my thighs again and again. You got this. Just breathe. The brass doors chimed open to a sleek, hyper-modern executive floor. Another assistant waved me forward the second she saw me. “The CEO is waiting for you. Go right on in.” I knocked once, took a deep breath, and pushed the heavy mahogany door open. The office was massive. A man sat behind a sprawling desk, looking every bit the definition of power in a perfectly tailored dark suit. He had sharp salt-and-pepper hair styled flawlessly, and those same strong, vein-lined forearms were resting on the desk's surface as he reviewed a stack of paperwork. “Hello, I’m the new secretary. My name is Lay—” The man's head lifted at the sound of my voice. Our eyes met, and the words died right in my throat. Our gaze locked. His dark eyes widened in absolute, unadulterated shock, his strong jaw tightening instantly. The pen in his hand froze over the paperwork. I felt the blood completely drain from my face before rushing back up in a scalding, burning wave. No. No f*****g way. “You—” I choked out, my voice barely a whisper as I moved a leg backward.
