(Avery) I finished my homework around eight and got ready for bed. Mom came in to say goodnight, and we talked for a few minutes about school. She asked if I was okay with the bodyguards, and I told her I was getting used to it. Then she left and I got into bed. I stared at the ceiling for a while, thinking about tomorrow. Elias would be riding with me. That made me happy. I didn't like how sad he'd looked today when he pulled into the driveway behind us. I knew he hated not being able to drive me anymore, but I hadn't realized how much it bothered him until we talked. The solution was simple. He could just ride with me. Problem solved. I rolled over and closed my eyes. Tomorrow would be better. The next morning, I woke up to my alarm at six thirty. I got up, showered, and got dressed
