Sunday felt slow in a good way. I woke up a little after eight and checked my phone. Nothing much was happening in the group chat. Jackson had sent a picture of his breakfast and Luca replied with a laughing emoji. Avery had not said anything yet, so I guessed she was still sleeping.
I got dressed and went to brush my teeth. While I was washing my face, my phone vibrated. It was Avery.
