Unexpectedly, they did shut the hell up.
Thank the Goddess.
I hadn't even used my Alpha voice. Apparently, sheer irritation was finally doing the trick.
"Thank you," I muttered, rubbing my temples. "Now, before anyone starts demanding explanations, yes, Penny and I have been talking about starting a pack. No, we haven't worked out all the details, and no, we haven't told our mates yet, so you can stop looking at them like they've been keeping secrets from you."
"Wait." Keres leaned forward. "We're starting a pack?"
I turned toward him.
"Apparently."
His grin spread so quickly I immediately regretted answering.
"f**k yes."
"Keres, we don't even have land."
"Minor detail, princess."
"Or a packhouse."
"I’ll build one," Thane offered, and I f*****g loved him for it.
