Aria's POV
Marcus and the rest of the crew already had a table reserved when Alex and I made it to the restaurant. Marcus stood up when he saw me, confused by the man that walked next to me. "Hey, boss lady. We are happy to see you", Marcus greeted me. I laughed, as I approached him. "I bet. You guys are ready to order, huh?", I joked.
Marcus's eyes traveled to Alex a second time, with curiosity. "Marcus, this is Alexander. Alexander, this is my foreman, Marcus", I introduced them. "It's nice to meet. I have heard quite a bit about you", Alex nodded, reaching his hand out for a handshake. Marcus took his hand. "Me? God, I hope it's nothing bad", Marcus chuckled nervously. Alex thinned his lips and shook his head. "Nope", he assured him.
An awkwardness fell over us, setting me on edge.
