EDWARD’S POV I actually thought Layla was joking about the tattoo. Or at least that it was one of those things she’d get excited about for a day, think over properly, then change her mind. Apparently, I underestimated how serious she was because she’s dragged me into a tattoo parlor and is sitting beside me looking more excited than nervous about permanently putting something on her body. I watch her talk to the guy behind the counter while I lean back in my chair, and that weird feeling I’ve had about her for the past few days comes creeping back in. There’s some psychology s**t about people becoming impulsive when they’re about to make a big decision. Changing their hair, buying random crap, and suddenly doing things they’ve talked about forever but never actually planned on doing.
