I straightened slowly, my gaze drifting back towards the tunnel we’d come through. Ronald followed my eyes. “What is it,Your highness?” he asked. I didn’t answer right away. My wolf stirred restlessly pacing in circles inside me. It wasn’t snarling or raging. It was just listening. “I don’t like this,” I said finally. Ronald frowned. “The mine?” “No,” I replied, shaking my head. “The timing.” He followed my gaze and furrowed his brows. “You think this is another diversion?” Adrian’s words echoed in my head.
