"We can be late to our own party, can't we?" Pierce asked me.
Otti raised a brow at me.
"Any other party... yes, but not this one," I struggled to push the words out. "But I say after about 30 minutes, we could get away with disappearing together for a little while."
Otti giggled as she put a hand on each of our chests.
"You three finally ready?" Uncle Mal asked as he and Anders walked over to us. "Viper, dear, you look lovely."
"Thank you, so do both of you," she replied politely.
"Alright, come, come," Anders urged us.
I rolled my eyes before following behind them. Otti was holding Pierce's hand while her other arm was wrapped around me. I wanted to get this over with for several reasons.
