"You gonna answer that?" Derek asked when my phone went off again.
"Nope," I replied.
"It's Pierce," he said.
"I know," I replied.
"He's texted you a few times since we left the parking lot. We haven't even made it to the school yet," he said.
I sighed.
"I'm aware," I mumbled.
"You're not even going to look?" Derek asked.
"Not this time," I said.
"Why not?" he asked.
"Because he just keeps asking to meet up before we come back here for Otti," I told him. "He wants to talk to me about something."
"And you're avoiding that, because....?" Derek trailed off, waiting for me to fill in the blank.
