"Get in the car and start explaining," he said as he opened the back door for her. "Now."
Otti huffed before tearing off her mask and throwing it at us. I pulled mine off as Otti climbed into my jeep. Kieran shut the door, tore his mask off, and looked at me.
"She's worried about you," he told me.
"I just killed someone in front of her, Kieran. How could she possibly be worried about me?" I grumbled.
"She knows you were forced. That's why she wouldn't leave," he said.
I shook my head as a hollow laugh left my lips.
"I know there's something else you aren't telling me," he added.
My eyes snapped to his.
"If this were it, you'd be ecstatic that Otti still wants you," Kieran said. "Right now... you look more terrified than you did before."
