"Eli said you've changed. He mentioned that you were obsessed with a girl, but that she was a sweet little thing. I'm not sure your dad took it too seriously, but Eli was adamant that you were changing for her. I think that made your dad a little nervous. Considering... how out of character that is for you, I didn't blame him," he said.
"Well, now you can tell him I'm fine," I replied with a clipped tone.
