Most of the adults were sitting at picnic tables while the children and teenagers entertained themselves playing soccer and other games involving a ball. "Cousin Easton, do you want to go fishing with me?" his youngest cousin asked. That particular little boy seemed to be Easton's biggest fan. "I don't know how to fish," Easton answered bluntly. "But Cousin Ben said you're the best fisherman..." "He lied." I gave Easton a firm smack on the shoulder, and he looked at me with annoyance. "What?" "Go fishing with him." "Fishing is boring." "He's asking you nicely. Go fishing with him," I repeated. Easton made a face, but eventually stood up from the log we had been sitting on and followed the little boy toward the fishing area.
