"Listen up, rookies!" the Wolves’ coach shouted, using the same title he always used for the boys. “Starting today, young Easton Cash joins us as part of the team. If you don’t want to get your asses kicked by him, you’d better stay out of his way.”
Some members of the team looked unhappy.
Others looked terrified.
And a few, like Nate, looked downright furious.
Easton, as always, wore an expression of boredom and annoyance.
For a moment, I got the impression he didn’t even want to be there.
“Damn,” Glenda murmured. “I think Easton Cash just stole my heart.”
“Just looking at him makes me want to do bad things,” Rachel said.
