MARSHALL'S POV
"Wh_what do you mean you got rid of the pendant, what does that mean? What exactly did you do with it Freya?"
Marshall asked as he stood watching me wearily and I shrugged.
"It means exactly what you heard Marshall. It was bothering me. It became a liability, one that I didn't sign up for. One that I realized I wasn't even ready for and so I decided to dispose of it. I took it out and threw it out the window of the hotel room I'm staying in." Whatever it has to show me, it can go ahead and show it to someone else Marshall, I'm done."
The lie flowed freely through my lips as I remained calm, choosing to go with the idea that had come to mind that night when I got fraustated and wanted to rid myself of the pendant and the burdens it brought along with it.
