Before dinner they announced the winners of the treasure hunt. Joy and I were dragged to the front to show the group our golden envelope full of cash, along with the parent and child t ama that found the movie pass and the Play Place tickets.
All the other parent and child teams were given consolation prizes of little velvet bags filled with foil wrapped chocolate coins and crystal sugar candy. Alex sweetly offered his chocolate to me because Joy had convinced him that chocolate was medicine.
