Kristen Ezra seemed to be taking a really long time in the study. I played a couple of board games with the kids, but the week at camp had tired them out, and before we finished the second round of Shoots-and-Ladders they were yawning wide and blinking sleepily. “Alright you little monsters, let's go get our teeth brushed,” I said, putting the game away. There was surprisingly little resistance as they brushed their teeth, changed into their pajamas, and climbed together into Alex’s big bed.
