Selene's POV
“Don’t do it, Selene. Please,” my wolf suddenly warned. “He is already bleeding.”
But I was tired of hiding. Tired of masking things to spare others when no one had spared me.
Caz had always been kind and he had always treated me with respect. If anyone deserved honesty, it was him.
Taking a deep breath, I decided to tell him the truth.
“Yes, Caz,” I said quietly. “I let you see it.”
His brows raised slightly, and he froze in place.
“I wanted you to know,” I continued. “I wanted you to witness it firsthand, rather than hear about it from others. I thought… I thought it would be better for you to face reality instead of being protected by lies.”
