Selene's POV I quietly walked into Victor's quarters through the back door, careful not to make a sound. My heart was pounding so loudly I was afraid the guards outside might hear it. The marble floor felt cold under my bare feet as I crept past the kitchen and into the hallway. I moved like a shadow, hiding behind one of the tall pillars carved into the stone walls.
