Victor's POV I was really happy when Selene said yes to having dinner with me tomorrow because I swear I had been expecting another rejection or even silence. But she said yes. After leaving her and getting to the other side of the woods, Kael suddenly howled, loud and wild, bursting with so much emotion I couldn’t keep still. I found myself sprinting through the woods like a beast let loose from a cage, the wind whipping past my face and the trees blurring around me. I didn’t care who saw me at that moment.
