Mira   The preparations began as soon as I woke on the day of the ceremony.   The maids came in and bathed me, ordering me to shave and exfoliate my body. When I finished scrubbing in the tub, they helped me oil and lotion myself until every inch of me smelled of roses, jasmine, and sea salt.   It reminded me all too much of how I’d prepared every night for Tyler, only for him to leave me waiting in my room.
