Roger frowned imperceptibly, finding the last part of the question annoying. However, he guessed it must have resulted from Karen's meeting with her mother.
She had been acting weird ever since he picked her up from the office and had he not had that information, he would have thought he did something to upset her.
"Was that the reason why Katherine came to your office?"
Karen nodded, not feeling the need to hide it anymore, but her gaze lowered. Roger's arms wrapped around her midsection after putting on casual clothes as he sat on the bed and pulled her onto his lap, trapping her between his thighs.
