A coy smile stretched across Lexi's lips as she stared at Delanie. "We have dinner tonight, and I'll make sure he gets drunk. You won't see him tonight."
Delanie was already tired of this. Surviving weeks of Lexi's tricks was not easy, and she wondered how she was going to keep up during the remaining period.
"You know what, Lexi, you can't warm the heart of a man who has another woman in it."
Lexi's expression darkened, the truth hitting hard, but she refused to give up. "Wade will come to understand that I'm the one he loves. Have you not seen pictures and videos of our public appearances? We look perfect together."
Delanie smiled. "Sure you do, but every night, I'm the one he keeps warm. Wade is my husband, and soon enough, this show will end."
