  After leaving Karen, Roger headed to the location provided by his spies, unfazed by what he encountered. He could have enlisted help for this task, but he was determined to handle it alone, unwilling to tarnish his honor by relying on the Dawson guards as he had at Wade's mansion.   For Roger, honor meant seeking vengeance for his loved one on his own, regardless of the risks involved. This was the only way to assuage the guilt he felt for not arriving in time.   During his initial peaceful conversation with Delanie, he had dismissed his spies, intending to reveal her identity. Little did he know that in that brief absence, a sinister event would unfold.   When he heard the commotion during Delanie's second call, he summoned his spies to accompany him, fearing he might be too late.
