When the council chamber doors swung open, my eyes immediately searched the emerging figures for Luna Gloria.
She wasn't there. Neither was Elizabeth.
Only Alpha Edmund, Hailey, and Miranda appeared in the doorway.
The Pack Enforcement Officers approached Alpha Edmund the moment they spotted him.
I couldn't hear their hushed conversation, but I watched the officers nod in understanding before turning toward the exit.
