Miranda stood frozen in place, her mind racing. She couldn't figure out what that little b***h was playing at.
Aurora growled inside her, hackles raised. "She's plotting something," Aurora warned. "The little Omega is more cunning than she appears."
"I know," Miranda soothed her inner beast. "But we're smarter. We've been playing this game longer."
Aurora settled slightly, but remained alert. "Don't underestimate a wounded Omega. They're most dangerous when they have nothing to lose."
