"Alright," I nodded. "I didn't realize you understood the professor's preferences so well."
It surprised me that someone as cold and distant as Caesar would know what Dr. Elias would appreciate.
Even just sitting there, Caesar towered over me. He studied me for a long moment, his brow gradually furrowing. "Who said I was considering Dr. Elias's preferences?"
Perhaps because we rarely had such peaceful moments, I spoke without thinking. "Then whose preferences were you considering? Mine?"
I had wanted that moonflower quite badly that day.
Caesar's grey-blue eyes stared directly into mine, his gaze dropping to my lips. "Yes, yours."
