It had been almost five months since my Luna ceremony, and my belly was stretched to its absolute limit. The four little troublemakers growing inside me never seemed to rest, their tiny feet constantly jabbing at my ribs or playing soccer with my organs.
And yet, somehow, my mates still thought I needed to be watched every second of the day.
I sighed, sinking a little deeper into the warmth of the Great Bear Lake shore, the Canadian summer sun caressing my skin. The cool water lapped at my feet, soothing the ache in my swollen ankles, and I took another slow sip of my iced tea.
