I woke up with the scent of heaven tangled in my sheets.
No—her scent.
My mate.
Warm. Naked. Wrapped around me like she belonged there all along.
I blinked slowly, still half-trapped in the haze of sleep, but my body was already fully aware of her. Of us. My arm was still hooked around her waist, her soft skin pressed against mine, her leg tossed over my hip like she owned me.
Maybe she did.
Hell, she definitely did.
The light filtering in through the window caught the strands of her dark hair, fanned across my chest like silk.
Her pale skin was almost glowing against the golden morning light, her breath steady, lips slightly parted. She looked like a Goddess carved from marble—pure, wild, perfect. And those green eyes… Goddess help me. One glance and I’d be on my knee
