I didn’t stop until we reached the pack hospital. The second I put the car in park, the doors burst open. Amber’s parents were the first to reach us, sprinting toward the SUV with Rett and Robert right behind them. Her mother’s face was streaked with dried tears, her father’s jaw tight with tension, but the sheer relief in their eyes was unmistakable.
