“How are you feeling?” the doctor asked Alek, watching him closely. Alek inhaled deeply. “Like I got tossed into a cement mixer. But it’s better than before.” The doctor hummed. “Well, your wolf seems to be doing his job. That’s something.” He moved quickly, attaching sensors to their chests and setting up the electrocardiogram. The machine beeped steadily, both readings coming out normal. He watched the monitor for a minute, his sharp gaze flicking between Amber and Alek before he finally nodded. “Everything looks stable. You’ll need to wait for the blood test results, but from what I can see, whatever damage you two had, your wolves have already handled it.” He crossed his arms. “I’ll keep you both under observation for a couple of hours, just to be sure.
