By five, the party had officially crossed from drinking into bad decisions.
True had switched to water after Trident threatened to carry her ass home.
Someone had lost money at the pool table.
Two brothers were arguing over a football game that happened three years ago.
And a club bunny was currently making what I considered a very poor life choice.
I watched her slide into the empty space beside Iron.
Tootsie was standing on his other side.
Interesting.
Blaze followed my stare.
“Oh, shit.”
“What?”
He nodded toward Iron.
I took another drink.
“Oh.”
The woman leaned closer to Iron.
Way too close.
Iron immediately shifted away.
She followed.
Tootsie slowly turned her head.
I almost felt bad for the woman.
Almost.
“Iron,” the bunny purred, touching his arm.
