Ava’s POV Saturday morning started with Blaze trying to drag me out of bed by one ankle. I kicked at his hand. “Touch me again and lose a finger.” He laughed and caught my foot before I could get him. “Your grandpa said seven-thirty, Darlin’.” “My grandpa is retired. Time means nothing to him.” “Apparently fishing does.” I buried my face back in the pillow. Blaze slapped my ass. “Up.” “You’re brave before coffee.” “Already made it.” I lifted my head. “You should’ve started there.” His grin widened. “Less fun.” I was halfway out of bed when my phone rang. Grandma. I answered. “I’m awake.” “Good morning to you too.” “Blame my Ol’ man.” “I’m staying out of that.” Smart woman. I heard Grandpa in the background. “Tell her we’re leaving without her!” Grandma sighed.
