Ava's POV
I stared at Blaze's phone.
“Cyber, you're telling me somebody followed Mom before we went to Mexico?”
“That's what the footage shows. Same damaged SUV, eleven minutes behind her vehicle.”
“And you're positive about the timeframe?”
“Before Mexico. Before the lockdown. I'm still verifying the exact date.”
I looked toward the living room.
Mom was laughing at something Cloe said. The bandage on her neck was visible above her collar.
“Does Dad know?”
“I made him aware.”
“Tell him we're coming.”
Blaze ended the call.
I looked at my half-finished dinner.
“Seriously?”
