Ava's POV
“Cloe, if you check that clock one more time, I'm taking it off the wall.”
My sister glared at me over her breakfast.
“Would you stop?”
“I'm just saying. Gage isn't going to arrive any faster because you're staring at it.”
Blaze chuckled beside me.
“Darlin', leave your sister alone.”
“I'm helping.”
“You're annoying,” Cloe corrected.
“Same thing.”
The clubhouse doors opened.
Tootsie entered carrying her medical bag, followed by Iron with another bag over his shoulder.
Behind them came Gage.
Cloe practically flew out of her chair.
“Gage!”
He caught her around the waist.
“Hey, sweetheart.”
She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.
I leaned toward Blaze.
“Well, there goes my sister.”
“Leave them alone.”
“I'm not doing anything!”
