(Caroline’s POV) Charlie's face lights up the moment he sees his toy box. "Cars!" He runs across Aunt Jasmine's living room, dropping to his knees in front of the box Aiden just carried in. I watch as he pulls out his favorite blue car, then the red one, then the green one. He lines them up on the floor with careful precision, his small hands steady and sure. "He missed them," Aunt Jasmine says softly beside me. "I know." I sit down on the floor next to Charlie, not too close—he needs his space when he's organizing. "I should have grabbed them sooner."
