Richard and I finished from the shower, and I had nothing to wear but his t-shirt and shorts. So he called Alice Macray's store to deliver clothes to the main house in the morning.
It was thoughtful of Richard because going to the Penthouse was the last thing I wanted to do.
The horrific scene I had witnessed on my way out when Leon took me was somehow engraved in my memory. I wondered if I would ever experience the place the same way again.
I wondered how Dwayne and the rest of the staff were doing. Had they quit, or did they continue the day as if nothing had happened? I guess I will find out later.
While we dressed up, the intercom in Richard's room rang, and he went to answer it.
"Hello," he said and then paused.
"Okay, we will be down in a bit," he said and hung up.
