"Carla, I'm not here to cause trouble. I just want to see Elsa, and then I'll leave," I stated calmly, but she raised an eyebrow in response.
"You got off too easily last time. You're aware you've been banned from entering this place. Patrons aren't safe with a thief like you around," she retorted, her tone louder than necessary. It was clear she was intentionally trying to humiliate me.
"We both know that's not true, and you set me up," I countered, but she just smirked.
"Last I checked, the money was found in your account, Raven. How do you explain that? It must have taken some serious organisation and meticulousness on my part to achieve such an incredible feat," she taunted. I didn't have time for this.
