Spade called as soon as he got to the tarmac. His jet just took off an hour ago.
I already missed him. I didn’t know what was stopping me from telling him I was in love with him when it was obvious. There was a part of me that was frightened that I might scare him. But I was happy with what we had right now. I wouldn’t ask for anything in return.
“Allow me.” Max came to take the other tray from me.
“Thanks, Max. You don’t have to do this.”
“I’m not doing this as Quinton’s sub. I’m here as a friend.”
