“I don’t know. I feel like he has a hidden agenda. I’m not overthinking it. Although he didn’t say to give Spade an heir now, something’s bothering me that I can’t tell Spade that won’t make me look like a stupid.”
“And what is it?” She stole a glance at Quinton sitting in the corner. “Can he hear us? Does he report everything to his boss?”
I laughed as I shook my head. “Of course he does, but we’re not doing anything wrong. We’re just talking. Right, Quinton?” I turned to raise my drink at him.
Quinton just gave us a little nod before his gaze roamed around the Bazz.
