I was on the phone with my siblings when I heard someone knocking on my door. I rounded up the call before heading over to answer the door.
I opened the door slowly and popped my head outside. Ruiz was standing in front of the door. I wanted to slam the door at his face but I decided to be nice.
“What do you want?” I asked, glaring at him.
Ruiz let out a deep sigh. “I want to talk to you.”
What did he want to talk to me about? I wasn’t interested in being in the same space with me. I didn’t even want him to come close to me.
“What do you want to talk to me about?” I asked, rolling my eyes at him.
“Can I come inside?” He asked, instead of answering my question.
