“So my family isn’t speaking to me anymore and Carla is pregnant with Ruiz’s baby.”
Bonnie gasped in disbelief as she heard those words leave my mouth. I had the same expression when I found out about it too.
“Wow, you weren’t joking when you said things had gotten so complicated.” She said, her voice filled with sympathy. “So what are you going to do?”
What could I do?
My family wasn’t speaking to me because they found out about my relationship with Ruiz. They found it offensive that I was with someone who took our parents away from us.
I tried my best to make them see my reasons but they weren’t having it. Whenever I tried to call or visit, they always ignored me.
