Rain. I shift my focus to the modest-looking room with more artwork and expensive looking furniture. A door opens slightly on the left side into a large bathroom and I walk to it, peeling off Rhysand’s clothes and dumping them on the floor. I step into the shower and crank the heat until it stings, trying to wash away the memory of his hands, his scent, the way he made me feel like I belonged to him. I belonged to no one.
