Rain. “Remind me why we’re doing this again?” Emma’s voice echoes in the apartment. Her voice strained with how fast she’s painting the last patch of wall in the kitchen. “I thought you told him to f**k off and sue you?” I pack a handful of rags and trash to the bin in the corner. The apartment is almost done now and since I warned Rhys to f**k off for the week everything has gone smoothly.
