I woke already tired and didn’t open my eyes. I couldn’t imagine what would motivate me to get out of bed. As angry and sad as I’d been feeling, I’d never been this hopeless. But I couldn’t see a way out. I wasn’t going to get to start over and raise the pup on my own. I’d just have to live in this limbo state, watching Hunter and Maya together.
