Owen notices that Val keeps watching three women. He asks her who they are. At first, she couldn't think what to say. She ended up saying they're friends of their daughter.
About that time, Sarah Joy joins her parents, fussing about Rachel coming to her wedding when she knew Stevie would be there. Rachel would do anything to get Stevie to change his mind about marrying her. Sarah Joy also said that she would never invite her. Sarah Joy said she was going to have her and her friend thrown out. Terrance said they came with her cousin.
"Oh, really," Owen gives Val a cold stare.
Val couldn't look at Owen; she felt his eyes on her. "I thought you invited Rachel because of Steive. I didn't know they had broken up." She's looking across the room.
Sarah Joy looks at her and shakes her head.
