(Two person’s POV) Juniper POV We were supposed to be watching a movie. The documentary played in the background, some old hockey history Tristan had put on “for research.” The volume was low, the narration just a murmur beneath the sound of our breathing. I was curled into the far corner of the massive couch, knees drawn up to my chest like a shield, pretending to watch the screen while every part of me was hyper-aware of the man sitting only two feet away.
