Julian stayed buried inside me for a long moment, his body draped over my back, both of us breathing hard. When my trembling finally began to ease, he carefully pulled out and gathered me into his arms, rolling us onto our sides. He tucked me against his chest, one strong arm wrapped tightly around my waist, the other gently stroking my hair.
I buried my face in the warm skin of his neck, still shaky and completely spent. He pressed soft kisses to my temple, my forehead, the top of my head, murmuring quiet words I could barely make out.
