I was so baffled by my actions as I stared at Dominic’s shocked face.
Devon stared at me with confusion, worried about what had happened to me. I had no courage to explain, so I awkwardly pulled away from my husband’s arms.
All I did was to embrace myself as I averted my eyes and walked away from Devon and Dominic. I tried to get as far as I could from them, trying to avoid the pain I saw on their faces as I looked for Rey.
There was a part of me that wanted to apologize for what I did and said, but my anxiety was too strong, and I couldn’t bear to look at them. I felt awful about what I did, and I needed space to think and reflect on my feelings. I had to go.
