The trip to the hospital was worryingly slow. Alexander was on the edge of his seat as Nathan drove. The beta hadn’t trusted him to go on his own. Derek and Ashur were following in another vehicle, but Alexander barely gave them a thought.
“Kaison! Erin’s in labor!”
“Whoa, okay,” the Gamma answered. “Relax, Alex. Cahira already warned me, so the hospital is ready. She’ll be treated like a queen. I promise. It’ll be all right.”
“Relax, Alex,” Nathan agreed. “We planned for this. Kaison has the staff prepped and ready.”
